A Subscription Type , Price Option, or Event that is set to Admin Only means that members cannot purchase the item, or in the case of subscriptions renew the subscription. Setting something to Admin Only is useful for event or subscription options that you do not want to make publicly available to all members. 

Admin Only is one of four possible Published Statuses for Subscription Types and Price Options . The other statuses are:

• Published : visible on your Public Subscriptions Page for new members to purchase, or existing members to renew 
• Renewals Only : not visible on your Public Subscriptions Page for new members to purchase, but existing members can renew  
• Unpublished : cannot be purchased or renewed
